"The purpose of the Aeronautical Information Services Unit is to receive and/or originate, collate or assemble, edit, format, publish, store and distribute aeronautical information/data concerning the entire territory of a State as well as areas in which the State is responsible for Air Traffic Services outside of its territory." - (Annex 15 Capter 3 Section 3.1.7)
Our aeronautical information team provides information for commercial and private pilots and other aviation users to ensure the safety and efficiency of each and every flight.
This service is provided using the following means :
· Pre-flight Information Bulletin (location and area briefing)
· Aeronautical Information Package (AIP), including amendments
· Notice to Airmen (NOTAM)
· Aeronautical Information Circulars
· AIP Supplements
Piarco AIS is responsible for the dissemination of all flight plan information originating in Trinidad and Tobago.
Piarco AIS also provides Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) for both arriving and departing aircraft at the Piarco International Airport. This service is available on 126.7 MHz.
